taught by Camilla Taylor
In this 2 day printmaking workshop, participants will learn to make a printing plate using all manner of various substances and surfaces, such as leaves, fabric, wallpaper, modeling paste, sand, and many others. Collagraph literally means to draw or write with glue, and so the construction of the plate will be almost like making a collage.
Participants will also learn relief and intaglio inking techniques, stenciling, inking ala poupee, paper handling, and use of a flatbed press as they print a small run of multi colored collagraph prints.
