Collagraph Workshop (2 Day Workshop)

Saturday Dec. 9th & 16th, 10:30am to 4:30pm

Tuition: $275 (includes all necessary materials excluding paper)

In this 2 day printmaking workshop, participants will learn to make a printing plate using all manner of various substances and surfaces, such as leaves, fabric, wallpaper, modeling paste, sand, and many others. Collagraph literally means to draw or write with glue, and so the construction of the plate will be almost like making a collage.  We'll cover a variety of plate making techniques, including carburundum grit aquatint, incising, and building up the plate

Participants will also learn relief and intaglio inking techniques, stenciling, inking ala poupee, paper handling, use of a flatbed press and hand printing as they print a small run of multi colored collagraph prints.

Saturday, Dec 16th - 10:30am to 4:30pm: Edition Printing/ Experimental Printing

This workshop is appropriate for beginning to advanced level artists.
