Upcoming, single day sessions:
March 2nd, 1st, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
(every first Saturday of the month)
Monoprint, often called the painterly print, is a print made by applying ink and stencils to a plexiglass plate and then transferring the image to a piece of paper. This workshop is open to the beginner to advanced level printmaker. Plexiglass plates, ink, newsprint, brayers, rags, and drawing tools are supplied by the shop. Printmaking paper is available for purchase. An experienced printmaker monitors the session and is on hand to teach artists new to the medium the basics or more advanced techniques, handle paper, and run the press.
You can see many monoprints and images of the class and artists working in the studio here on our blog.
Open monoprint sessions are every first Saturday, 10:30 am till 4:30 pm with a limit of 5 participants. The tuition is $95, and covers all materials except printmaking paper, which is for sale in the studio.
Cancellations must be received 5 days prior to workshop to receive a reimbursement, minus a $25 materials fee.
